Last year Tristar, in honor of Jack's 91st. birthday, sponsored the launch of his personal war against childhood obesity. He announced the start of this war aboard the USS Intrepid, permanently docked in New York City. That was over a year ago. There was not much talk about this silent epidemic at that time. Now entire news shows are dedicated to this problem and school cafeterias across the country are drastically changing the types of foods being served to students. And many have totally banned the sale of the foods that Jack directly took aim at.
